The Thunder came into tonights game knowing that the Milwaukee Bucks were the only team in the NBA that handed the Golden State Warriors a loss. The Thunder came out very energetic and were on top of their game from the tipoff. Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook were able to take advantage of the mismatches that came their way and they abused them. Westbrook and Durant combined for 53 points but tonight belonged to the rookie Cameron Payne. The last couple of game Cameron Payne has outplayed DJ Augustin leaving him on the bench while the rookie gets into the flow of the game to takeover. Coach Donovan has used the lineup of Westbrook,KD, and Payne and it has given the Thunder some new life. The energy that Cameron comes into the game with is remarkable and his teammates are feeding off of that. Cameron Payne has been harding very hard at practices and pregame with his coaches and like he said “Hard Work Pays Off”. Heres a rookie thats getting the opportunity of a lifetime to play alongside Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook two NBA All Stars that are still in their prime. Cameron scored a career high 16 points tonight and was dropping dimes like no one in OKC has seen before. Cameron Payne is a pure point guard and thats something the Thunder needed because it gives Westbrook the chance to play off the ball and not have to worry about tiring himself out.

The second unit tonight came up extremely big from Payne to Kanter it was a great night tonight for OKC. Enes was able to 23 points and 8 rebounds coming off the bench for the Thunder. It was a great overall win for the Thunder tonight as they will prepare to face the Phoenix Suns who will have to play without Eric Bledsoe who just underwent season ending surgery. The way the Thunder are playing right now they have everything clicking and the rhythm is at a high for them. Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook were able to get some rest and the Thunder are very good when their two stars are resting because that means that the game is usually out of reach. They will look to continue that on Thursday and see what happens against the Suns without their leading scorer.
