The TALK, Part II

By Michael – Louis Ingram, Editor – in – Chief

PHILADELPHIA (BASN):Beyond the struggle of who wins and loses on the playing field comes the even bigger issue of where they are, when they do it, what they do it for – and why the fuck does it remain an issue? Along with how it’s done, of course…

Cameron Jerrell Newton is the first quarterback to throw for over 400 yards in his first game – as well as the first to do it in his first two games. A two – time Pro Bowl selection, Newton also broke the record for rushing touchdowns by a QB in a season (14) and guided his Carolina Panthers to an NFC South title while lacking an ace receiver, culminating the first back-to-back titles in the division in over 15 years – in addition to being the first QB ever in the division to accomplish such a feat.

With a current record of 30-31 -1 as a starter (3-3 in the playoffs) and 35 records already achieved, Newton – whether they want to admit it or not – is already in the upper echelon of NFL quarterbacks.   Newton also came into the league on the heels of a players’ strike and consumed an offense which he handled with reasonable efficiency, dispelling the notion he wasn’t mentally capable to handle such skills at the next level…

Newton came into the National Football League slandered by a disgusting Nigger named Nolan Nawrocki, who offered this assessment of Newton’s talents;

“Very disingenuous — has a fake smile, comes off as very scripted and has a selfish, me-first makeup. Always knows where the cameras are and plays to them. Has an enormous ego with a sense of entitlement that continually invites trouble and makes him believe he is above the law — does not command respect from teammates and will always struggle to win a locker room . . . Lacks accountability, focus and trustworthiness — is not punctual, seeks shortcuts and sets a bad example. Immature and has had issues with authority. Not dependable.”

Notice the statement has nothing the fuck to do with football – it reeks more of a not-so-silent mandate to make sure Black QBs don’t receive first – round (let alone first overall) selection bonus money ever again (with great power comes great responsibility, JaMarcus Russell) –  which is why Gen. Newton was summoned before The Joint Chiefs of Pass and BASN’S Drop Squad to recognize – and re-energize.

Peep  “The TALK…”

“General Newton – we salute your toughness and resiliency in grinding on and bringing Carolina back -to – back NFC South titles. The issue of you having to make chicken salad outta chicken shit is nothing new; it should remain as a reminder that their success is tied to making money – they really don’t give a fuck about a championship.

You should also be aware that assholes like Nawrocki are paid to be lapdogs for the League – don’t ever forget how conservative these muthafuckas are! To try and make you out like you were C.J. Memphis out of “A Soldier’s Story” is annoying enough; be advised that this level of resentment toward Black QBs is a very real thing.

This negative atmosphere takes on a life of its own because  there is no veneer anymore; you are there because you are making them goo – gobs of money! As my colleague Tony McClean likes to say, ‘if you’re making X dollars doing what you do, rest assured the owner’s making XXX dollars – off you!’

We sincerely hope you are fully recovered mentally as well as physically from your accident last year. It is a harsh dose of reality when all your hard work and everything you’ve done to maximize your gifts can be gone in a fleeting moment; we appreciate that you seized that moment and tenaciously guided your team to the NFC title game as a true Field General should.

While we want you to never forget to use your legs to succeed, make no mistake – they are looking to hurt you. When Clay Matthews launched himself at Gen. Colin Kaepernick’s head while he was clearly out of bounds, his azz should have been thrown out the fuckin’ game, and suspended; but all he got was a bullshit fine.

You betta believe if that’s a White quarterback, Matthews – or any other defensive player – would never pull that shit…

Pay attention as well to the defensive wrinkle Jeff Fisher and the so-called Competition Committee developed in order to counter the success of the ‘read-option.’  Gen. Kaepernick, yourself, Gen. Wilson and others who formerly flourished in this variable needed to be put in check; and the same jackass who destroyed Gen. Steve McNair and Gen. Vince Young in Tennessee no doubt delights in creating this kind of chaos.

Gen. Michael Vick was beaten like a runaway slave over the last two seasons; Gen. Robert Griffin III was beat down to the White Meat just this pre-season in Washington – so stay aware that incidental contact after the play will be impacted on White signal callers far more than Black ones.

When talking heads like that asshole Howard Eskin in Philly seek to defame good men like Terrell Suggs, it is a reminder of how these walking turds corrupt the system. Suggs knew the rule and hit Sam Bradford cleanly; it didn’t matter this scumbag Eskin didn’t know the rule – he didn’t care!

Keep this in mind because these parasites are part of this bullshit. They will chirp about being ‘journalists’ – until they are busted and called on their crap – then they’ll squeal like a bitch about how they’re ‘entertainers.’

Don’t ever lose sight that they resent you – because they need you to make the cash they are bringing in. Hopefully, for your sake, your boss (a former player) will endeavor to procure the tools you need to get the job done, rather than pimp your talent out like Jeff Lurie did Gen.Donovan McNabb when he was a Philadelphia Eagle.   With that said, we salute you for your fortitude, and wish your continued success in leading your Black Cats to victory!

Carry on, General.” (returns salute)
