NBA All Star Predictions

Updated: February 13, 2014

Rising Stars Challenge aka the Rookie/Sophomore Game, gives us a look at the upcoming players in the league. Grant Hill and Chris Webber had the honors this year of drafting two teams to compete this year in New Orleans.

Team Hill
Damian Lillard (Blazers)
Bradley Beal (Wizards)
Andre Drummond (Pistons)
Harrison Barnes (Warriors)
Terrence Jones (Rockets)
Giannis Anteokounmpo (Bucks)
Jonas Valaniunas (Raptors)
Dion Waiters (Cavaliers)
Miles Plumlee (Suns)

Team Webber
Anthony Davis (Pelicans)
Michael Carter-Williams (Sixers)
Tim Hardaway Jr. (Knicks)
Trey Burke (Jazz)
Jared Sullinger (Celtics)
Mason Plumlee (Nets)
Victor Oladipo (Magic)
Steven Adams (Thunder)
Kelly Olynk (Celtics)

The MVP of the Rising Star Game will be Damian Lillard from the Blazers who I believe will start his All Star Weekend off right.

The NBA Dunk Contest this year is East vs West format with the following players below participating in this years and Lebron isn’t one of them.

Defending champion Terrence Ross (Raptors),

Paul George (Pacers),

Damian Lillard (Blazers),

John Wall (Wizards),

Harrison Barnes (Warriors)

Ben McLemore (Kings)

The East will win the Dunk contest they have the star power in Paul George and John Wall and I believe we will see something from Ben McLemore that we haven’t seen before.

The Three Point Contest this year consists of the following below.

Defending champion Kyrie Irving (Cavaliers),

Bradley Beal (Wizards),

Joe Johnson (Nets),

Arron Afflalo (Magic),

Stephen Curry (Warriors),

Marco Belinelli (Spurs),

Kevin Love (Timberwolves),

Damian Lillard (Blazers)

I have Stephen Curry winning this Three Point contest because, he is in Footlocker Commercials. Plus KD said “Curry is the best shooter of all time”.

The skills challenge is very good this year check out the skilled talent below going for Lillards championship

Defending champion Damian Lillard (Blazers),

Trey Burke (Jazz),

Reggie Jackson (Thunder),

Goran Dragic (Suns),

Michael Carter-Williams (Sixers),

Victor Oladipo (Magic),

DeMar DeRozan (Raptors)

Giannis Antetokounmpo (Bucks)

I have Trey Burke winning this contest this will be a good way for him to showcase that he is a great point guard. Also he can prove that he belongs in the NBA and needs to be noted as one of the best.

NBA All Star Game MVP will be going to Lebron James because, he wants the world to know that he is the better player between him and Durant. Personally I believe that James is tired of hearing about Durant now just as much as Durant was tired of hearing about James. There will be a moment in the game down the stretch where James and Durant will be guarding each other and that will be exciting to see. At the end of the day James will get the better of Durant because, he was embarrassed on national television.
