Celtics Go From (0-4) to (3-4) Riding 3 Game Winning Streak

Updated: November 10, 2013

The Boston Celtics have already had their ups and downs in this very short season so far. The Celtics have a new coach in Brad Stevens who was still trying to figure out what was the right line up to run with for the season. Brad had used Avery Bradley at the point guard position which served as a bad decision because, Bradley wasn’t the right person to have running the show and he showed it with his turnovers down the line in the Detroit and Milwaukee. Stevens had expressed that he was still trying to find his line up and the leader while Rondo is still out with the ACL tear is Jeff Green and his first game was incredible with 26 points but after that his offense went missing in action. The Celtics finally got their first win but it came at the expense of Gerald Wallace hitting the bench and the Celtics starting Jordan Crawford at the point guard position. Wallace expressed that he wasn’t happy with the decision and it is noticeable that he doesn’t want to be in a rebuilding phase in his 13 season in the league. Gerald has talked to media about his frustration about the team and it seems like he wants out but, Wallace has been maintaining and isn’t trying to mess up the teams chemistry.

The Celtics beat on a Utah Jazz team that has no depth at the point guard position and the Celtics took advantage of the turnovers. The one consistent player for the Celtics so far has been Brandon Bass he has done everything that Stevens has wanted him to do including rebounding, scoring, and being the clutch player they need down the stretch in tight games. The Celtics went to South Beach last night and left with a win beating the Heat 111-110 on a Jeff Green buzzer beater 3 pointer on Lebron James with no time remaining. The Celtics fans hope that this week can be the emergence of the Jeff Green everyone saw last year  because, Jeff had 2 big jams this week that posterized Jason Maxiell and also he did a nice And-1 dunk on the Miami Heat. If Jeff Green can give them the playoff Jeff Green all season until Rondo comes back this team will be in good shape.

The Celtics are still awaiting Rondo to come back from the ACL tear but the bright light in this has been the fact that rookie Phil Pressey has been able to get some great minutes and has produced every chance he has gotten on the court. The Celtics play the Orlando Magic again tomorrow night at the TD Garden and will try to make it 4 games in a row.
