First of all the Committee did a great job this year. Let’s get right to it:
Melo Leaves Orangemen in a hole

Melo Leaves Orangemen in a hole

CONNECTICUT (BASN)—EAST- Now that Syracuse has lost Fab Melo for undisclosed reasons it looks like a Vandy and Ohio State region. Vandy can shoot it and should get by a game Harvard team. Ohio State has an easier half of the bracket and should get past West Virginia. SLEEPER:CINCINNATI.
WEST- Michigan State and Missouri are the cream. Michigan State earned the no. 1 seed with a great Big 10 Tournament win and is coached by one of the greats in the game,Tom Izzo. Missouri is a guard oriented team which can score in transition. SLEEPER:MURRAY STATE.
MIDWEST- UNC and Kansas look like they are on a collision path. They have both been called soft throughout the season and have something to prove..Kansas needs to get by a good Georgetown team. SLEEPER:TEMPLE.
SOUTH- Kentucky is the best team in the country but they are very young.

John Calipari has never won it all even with better talent. UConn could be very difficult for Kentucky in the second round. Baylor looks to be more athletic than Duke and should make it to the Elite 8 game. SLEEPER:WICHITA STATE.
