SANTA CLARA, Ca. — Project Save Our Surf: Surf 24 has announced that they have added (WUN) Love Radio host, Rhonda Harper to their co-host panel.

Also known as BASN’s “Queen of Extreme”, Rhonda will be sharing the co-hosting duties with Perk San Clemente and Comedian Doug Vannier.

“I was so stoked when asked to participate. I don’t think I even thought about it. It’s just like a dream,” says Harper. “I am always willing to help out with environmental issues, their can not be enough organizations helping this worldwide issue.’

Rhonda served on the executive board for the South Bay Surfrider foundation in 2007 and worked closely with the youth’s ocean education program for Inkwell Youth Association, formerly Inkwell Surf & Sk8 Club.

Project Save Our is Surf is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of our oceans and the delicate marine ecosystems that reside therein.

PSOS believes that through awareness and involvement with our communities we can generate significant change on our planet.

PSOS is joining forces with the Surfirder Foundation and Surfing Magazine to celebrate International Surfing Day 2010 with a 24 Hour Surf-A-Thon contest.

SURF 24 begins on Saturday June 19th at 11am beside the legendary Huntington Pier. World champion surfers Shaun Tomson and PT Townend will join actress and surfer Tanna Frederick as Co-hosts to kick off the opening ceremony.

Rhonda is also a team member for the “Sovereign Earth/Dawn Patrol” with Maria Jampolsky, Rachel Reenstra, Perk San Clemente, Jesse Spencer Norman Ollestad Ingrid Walters Daniel McClusky Buttons Kaluhiokalani Tsehaie Kidane and Don Bigelow.

The proceeds raised will be donated to the national level of the Surfrider Foundation, Santa Monica’s Heal the Bay and the OC Board of Education program Inside the Outdoors.
