This year the table has turned. Rutgers has depth, they execute the 55 defense espoused by Stringer with skill and they have depth, 10 quality players. And they are missing injured 6-2 Chelsey Lee.
Stringer teams have been epitomized by tough players. The likes of Tasha Pointer,Essence Carson,Cappie Pondexter,Matee Ajavon and Epiphanny Prince.
She has tough players again this year and like the
Carson,Ajavon teams, many of them are local.
Khadijah Rushdan, Erica Wheeler, frosh Betnijah Laney and Briyona Laney and star April Sykes are all playing with abandon this year, both on offense and defense.

Rutgers has been known for games played in the 50's
and this year they have 90 against highly ranked Miami (double overtime),75
against Syracuse and 74 against Boston College. No slouches in that group.
Right now, probably only Baylor and Connecticut
have more talent than Rutgers. Rutgers is as experienced as both.
Rutgers is probably a no. 3 seed right now. If they
can maintain that by winning the Louisville and DePaul like games, then they can
have a more advantageous seed than in past years and can make a run in the
Tournament. Something that has been missing since 2007.
There will be a stretch in the season in which Rutgers is at Georgetown, home to Notre Dame and at Connecticut. Not even a Rutgers fan would expect a win at Connecticut, but the other two are winnable.
