And even though quarterback Drew Brees played an awesome game and was named the Super Bowl MVP, I feel that cornerback and native of Louisiana Tracy Porter deserves a “little” more credit for the Saints' 31-17 victory.

Mainly because it was the 5-foot-11, 186-pound Porter, who sealed the victory by intercepting Peyton Manning in the final minutes of the game by jumping in front of Reggie Wayne and returned the pick 74 yards for the game-winning touchdown for the Black & Gold.

 According to Porter, his game-changing interception began back in the film room.

"I'd seen it over and over on third down," Porter said. "That was a big route for them to convert on. Through the numerous amounts of film study that we've done all week in preparing for the Super Bowl, and it all happened just like I was watching it on film. I made the break on it, and here comes the end zone."

But that wasn’t the only game saving interception by Porter.

Just like Déjà vu’ in he NFC Championship game with less than a minute left in regulation, he also stepped in front of Minnesota's Sidney Rice.

With a “little” help from the “Voo-dun” spirit, Porter intercepted Brett Favre’s ill-advised pass which forced the game into overtime where the Saints prevailed 31-28.

So the next time, you think about the Saints winning Super Bowl 44, don’t forget to mention Tracy Porter, because “ offense sells tickets, but defense wins Super Bowls”.
