Historical Black College and Universities (HBCU) conferences and major
Classics. We are excited and proud to give fans across the country a
platform to enjoy the coverage of their favorite teams,” said HSRN CEO
Omarr Bashir.
HSRN
will kickoff their 2010 schedule on Saturday, August 28th with the
“Furniture
City” Classic in High Point, NC, matching the Rams of Winston Salem
State and the Panthers of Virginia Union.

Founded
in 2006, HSRN was created to provide a voice
for the HBCU community. For over 100 years HBCU's have participated in
collegiate athletics with little to no media coverage.
Stars
like
Walter Payton, Althea Gibson, Doug Williams, Charles Oakley and Michael
Strahan are just a few of the many superstars who were HBCU athletes.
There are approximately 7 million fans of HBCU sports who were media
orphans in search of a home.
HSRN
is the only satellite delivered
national radio network dedicated to HBCU sports. Their goal is to fuse
the greats of the past with the stars of today to showcase the
significance of this unique and underserved sports community. |
