They’ll tell you aluminum gives every kid a chance to be a slugger, thereby increasing interest in the sport. And most disingenuous of all, they’ll say aluminum is about choice, and what’s more American than freedom of choosing your sporting weapon?
Street agents continue to take toll on kids

Street agents are all around and their usually people that you least expect. Gone are the days of just wanting to help the kids. Everything cost a fee right now. It's horrible. One day camps are costing about $200.00, and people think that we're in a recession.

Now state lawmakers must decide whether to keep the $6 million program chugging along, scale it down or eliminate it. The 2009 legislative session starts Tuesday.

If you listen carefully, you can hear the skins of basketball purists cringe as they contemplate the arrival of a shot clock to high school ball. Hey, even the inestimable Dean Smith scrapped his vaunted four-corner spread. Change is a good thing. A cure is needed.
