WNBA Legends To Return To The Court

All of them are retired now and despite many individual achievements, they are involved in various different occupations throughout the country. And who knows one day they might all decide to return to the basketball court.
Well, you won't have to wait too long because the legends are on their way back, thanks to Hall of Famer and former WNBA legend Lynette Woodard.
The players will return to the court when "The Lynette Woodard Youth Sports & Education Foundation host the Lynette Woodard's Legend All-Star Charity Weekend Classic, August 8-10 in Houston.
The Legend All-Stars, which will be coached by former Harlem Globetrotter, "Sweet" Lou Dunbar will face the Houston Jaguars, Houston's premiere women's semi-professional team that travels across the country playing the top colleges and universities.
The Jaguars, who are sponsored by Texas Orthopedic Hospital, are coached by Louis Ray.
The Charity Weekend will kick off on Friday, August 8th with a Meet & Greet Mixer. On Saturday, August 9th, Woodard will host a Basketball Clinic for kids
ages 5-18.
There will also be a Question & Answer session with the Legend Players. The Legend All-Star Charity Basketball Game will take place at 5:00 p.m. at Barnett Fieldhouse, located at 5800 Fairway.
Players scheduled to participate for the Legends include: Cynthia Cooper (Houston Comets), Fran Harris (Houston Comets), Kym Hampton (New York Liberty), Chamique Holdsclaw (Los Angeles Sparks), Teresa Weatherspoon (New York Liberty), Andrea Stinson (Charlotte Sting), Ruthie Bolton (Sacramento Monarchs), Nykesha Sales, Rushia Brown, Val Still and others.
The Houston Jaguars, who are entering their 12th season of play, have faced many colleges throughout the state of Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas. They have also gone up against such powerhouses such as Tennessee, Rutgers, Texas and Connecticut.
Key players for the Jaguars include: Umeka Webb (N.C. State), Angela Curl (Houston), Melissa Abraham (Memphis), Chandi Jones (Houston), Darla
Simpson (Houston), Amber Cunningham (Rice) and many others.
There will also be a VIP Dinner with the players and a party after the game for VIP Ticket Holders Only. Both groups will host an Olympic Viewing Party on Sunday, August 10th for the conclusion of the charity weekend classic.
