Hobbies: Basketball, Volleyball Q&A Q: How important was it for you in the recruiting process to go ahead and select the college that you wanted to attend? A: It was very important. Baylor was the right choice so I committed early. Q: Who else was in the running? A: Connecticut, Tennessee, LSU, Texas A & M, North Carolina, and Duke. Q: How old were you when you first started playing basketball? A: 15 years old. Q: What do you plan to major/minor in? A: Criminal Justice/Sports Medicine. Q: Have you considered the possiblility of playing professionally in the future? A: Yes, I would like to play in the WNBA and overseas. Q: What coaches have been instrumental in your development as a player? A: Coach King, my Junior Varsity coach at Nimitz, Coach Amanda Barksdale, who's now the assistant coach at Houston, Kim Rainey, and Coach Rob Amboree, the assistant coach at Bellaire. Q: What are you looking forward to most in your final season? A: Getting to the playoffs and getting past Cinco Ranch. They have knocked us out every year since my freshman year. Q: Who will be some of the toughest opponents that you'll face this season? A: Eisenhower, Cinco Ranch, and various opponents in the HISD, Aldine, Cleveland, and Bryan Holiday Classic tournaments. Q: What was your most memorable high school moment? A: Our playoff victory over Westside. Q: What are three words that best describe you as a player? A: Determined, Athletic, and Endurance. Q: How would you best describe yourself as a person? A: Humble. Q: What is your pre-game ritual? A: Listening to Lil Wayne Q: What was the recruiting process like for you and how hectic was it at times? A: It wasn't that bad. I got a whole lot of letters and I'm still getting a whole lot of letters from schools that keep trying to get me. Q: What hidden talent do you possess? A: I'm good with computers and electronic devices. My father also taught me how to work on cars. Q: If you had the opportunity to be placed on the cover of one sports magazine what would it be? A: ESPN- the Magazine. It's one of the top magazines. Q: If you weren't playing basketball, what other sport would you play? A: Probably soccer or volleyball. Q: Who are your biggest sports role models? A: LeBron James and Tim Duncan. Q: Name one thing that most people don't know about you? A: I once wanted to play tennis and become a boxer. Q: What were the top three tournaments that you participated in during the summer? A: Nike Nationals, Nike Tournament, and the Boo Williams Tournament in West Virginia. Q: How exciting was it to get your first USA Basketball invitation to the 18 & under tryouts? A: It was real exciting. I didn't get to participate, because I previously had an AAU tournament scheduled. Q: How do your parents feel about everything that you accomplished?
