Reflections Of A Father
by Tony Price -- Sep 3, 2008 - 9:53:00 PM

by William C. Rhoden -- Aug 31, 2008 - 9:52:00 PM

by Harry Carson -- Aug 30, 2008 - 9:57:16 PM
There are many players who played before me, with and against me and since I've played, that I have truly admired who have taken their last snap. Gene Upshaw is the latest former player to go home to be with The Father. My family and all who have played the game extend our condolences to the Upshaw family.

by Jason Whitlock -- Aug 23, 2008 - 9:50:00 PM
Of course, when he was alive Gene Upshaw was trashed for his inability to convince the current players (mostly black) to hand over a portion of their earnings to the retired players (mostly white) who built the game. There is no precedent for retired workers having their post-career benefits significantly improved … other than retired NFL players.
Establishing One’s Place In History
