SIAC announces 2011 baseball honors
Benedict duo are among preseason honorees

The 2011 preseason team is led by Benedict senior first baseman Corey Bryant and junior pitcher Eric Cordova.
As
a junior, Bryant was named SIAC Player of the Year after leading the
SIAC with 12 home runs with a batting average of .340. The 2010 All-SIAC
first team selection finished second in the SIAC with a .698 slugging
percentage and 58 RBIs while also totaling 31 stolen bases.
In
2010, Cordova posted a 10-win season with an ERA of 3.92, both of which
led the SIAC. He threw five complete games along with 74 strikeouts on
his way to earning All-SIAC first team honors.
Benedict
led the 2011 preseason team with eight selections, including six
first-team selections. Reigning champion Albany State had six selections
followed by Claflin with five.
