Mr. Obama the USA’s Chief Executive in waiting is now the nation’s supreme hooper. President-Elect Obama has ensured the global hoop community that he will install the first fiberglass backboard ever to adorn the former residence of Lincoln, Truman, FDR, JFK, LBJ, and Reagan at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
President-Elect Obama, after casting his vote on Election Day, opted for a game of pickup hoops while the rest of America braved long lines with a determined voter vigor unparalleled in USA politics.
While President-Elect Obama was swishing three pointers, throwing no look passes, America’s citizenry was blacking out boxes next to the name Barack Obama ensuring the electoral voter landslide that now has Barack Hussein Obama in line to be the next commander in chief of the United States of America.
Hail to the Chief!
President-Elect Obama, who had his victory speech at Chicago’s Grant Park the site of six Chicago Bulls championship rallies, set the world ablaze as he symbolizes CHANGE and a fearless regal presence partly honed by his competitive basketball experiences.
President-Elect Obama, who is a confirmed reader of this author, has a brother in law that is a Division I head coach and a personal assistant that donned a Duke Blue Devil uniform for Coach K in his collegiate days.
The historic election of Barack Hussein Obama as the 44th President of the United States will always have a powerful connection to hoops at large. President Obama, we here at BASN salute your dignified campaign and you have our unmitigated support.
President Obama, on your day of Inauguration when you scale the Capitol steps with all its pomp and pageantry and then asked by the Supreme Court Chief Justice, “Do you swear to defend and uphold the Constitution of the United States of America” and will respond resoundingly “I do”.
That will be the ultimate “swish” shaking the foundation of those who have come before you, are currently with you, and generations to come forth forever more. President Obama…salutations and may your jumpers hit nothing but the bottom of the net!
