RYAN HOWARD Ryan Howard already holds the all time Major League RECORD for the most Strikeouts in a Season EVER but he's on his way to BREAK his own Record EASILY We're not quite at the half way point in the Season and prior to Friday night's game Howard ALREADY has 125 Strikeouts. In setting the all time Major League Record last year his total ALL season was 199 Strikeouts. Heck he should be able to best that during August with his eyes closed if they aren't already to reach new heights. Likewise most players go through their entire careers no matter how long without ever striking out FIVE time in a game. Not Howard ! Ryan Howard is Baseball's undisputed Strike Out King WAIT A MINUTE ... Having said that and knowing no better anyone would ASSUME Howard is on his way to a very short MLB career. That he would be lucky very LUCKY to make it through the season still in an MLB uniform. It gets WORSE up until the last week or two Howard had one of the lowest if not the LOWEST batting average of any regular MLB player in fact flirting with the .200 mark and many observers would not have been surprised if he had dipped below it. Indeed even now it's all of .234 putting him down in the bottom 10% of MLB regular position players GUESS WHAT Ryan Howard has NOTHING to worry about. He is probably the last player who has to worry about his MLB career. A the same time Ryan Howard is the record breaking ALL time leader in Strikeouts and with a dismal Batting Average Ryan Howard is LEADING the Majors in HomeRuns with 27 and SECOND in the Majors in RBIs with 83. That's right. Yes there have been other big producers who had lots of Strikeouts and anemic Batting Averages but none in the same "league" with Ryan Howard's numbers this season. Adding to his Aura Ryan does not just hit Home Runs he CRUSHES the Ball like no other player Today. This season at the same time he may be Striking out 250 times he is equally projected to hit in the vicinity of 60 Home Runs and get close to 200 RBIs. IF he could bring down his Strikeout percentage significantly in the second half be that unlikely he could be looking at closer to 70 HomeRuns and over 200 RBIs. But even if he Strikeouts 250 times while hitting 60 Home Runs and with about 200 RBIs if the Phillies win their Division Ryan Howard might well be the National League MVP for the second time in his still very young career. Let's also mention Howard reached 100 Home Runs faster than any other player in all of Major League history. You name them Ryan Howard got there faster. Likewise fastest to ever reach 150 Home Runs of any player ever. And while Howard has the rare "honor" of Striking out 5 times in one game he is also tied for the all time record of most walks in a single game also 5. And in fairness to his Batting Average his career average is very respectable .280. So that's the Story watching Ryan Howard at Bat is worth subscribing to MLB.TV cause EVERY single time he bats you are more likely to see Ryan either Strikeout or HOMER more so than any other MLB Player He's Unbelievable
