AFRICA -- For the second straight year, the company JAPPO S.A. will be putting together African International Sports Convention to be organized in Abuja, Nigeria, from February 21-23, 2008.

The Africa International Sport Convention the only event in Africa that puts together continental and international professionals of sport. For three days, major international and African companies in the sport field will present their products and services and will share their know-how with African sport professionals.

For this second edition of CISA that will take place in the city of Abuja which host the new ANOCA headquarters, we are expecting about 10 IOC members, several members of continental and international sports federations as well as leaders of African sports and organising/bidding cities for various Games.

CISA 2008 is organized in collaboration with the NOC of Nigeria, ANOCA, the Supreme Council of Sports in Africa, the City of Abuja, Green Africa Foundation, Eurasia Sport Management among other partners.

The ambition of CISA is to contribute to the promotion and to the development of sport in Africa and to create at the same time a communication and exchanged platform which can only be beneficial to sport professionals who unanimously regret the lack of this type of forum. CISA is also an important networking platform with African and international sports leaders.

Also, within the framework of the event, we are going to publish the second edition of the African Sport directory which will feature all African sport institutions, from sport ministries to national federations.

The directory will provide more visibility to organizations, considering that it will be published and distributed to every international organization.

We remain hopeful that many will participate in this major event of the African
sports calendar which already attracted over 200 participants in its first edition in 2007, in Senegal.

Like in 2007, we will give the opportunity to sports organisations to advertise in the different publications of CISA such as the Africa Sports Directory or the event magazine. They will also be given the possibility to host breakfasts, lunches or diner and address the participants during these functions.
