INDIANAPOLIS -- The ABA's Alaska Dream has taken many strides in creating an organization over the past few months. Now, the Alaska Dream adds another event to its list of things to accomplish by filling in for the canceled "BP Top of the World Classic" basketball tournament in Fairbanks.

The Alaska Dream will be hosting a three-day ABA tournament on November 21-23 at the Carlson Center in Fairbanks. The other three ABA teams that have committed to play are the Las Vegas Aces, Maywood Buzz, and San Diego Wildcats.

According to Trey Davis, Alaska team owner, "There are three other teams interested in participating but at this point, have not made the final commitment.  This will give fans a chance to see the tremendous excitement of the ABA game and the terrific talent this league has."

Also, a portion of the proceeds from the tournament will go into a scholarship fund for the University of Alaska Fairbanks. The Alaska Dream has a strong commitment to community involvement and feel that by stepping in and filling in for something that has been a tradition in the community since 1996 will allow the team to give Fairbanks something truly special.
