The Thunder started the day off knowing that they had to get rid of Reggie Jackson as his agent requested for a trade. The Thunder had a deal on the table with Brooklyn to send Reggie,Kendrick, and Perry Jones to BK for Lopez and Jarrett Jack. What people didn’t know is that the Thunder had a lot of teams chasing for Reggie as the Pacers and Detroit got in the mix late. Around 2:50 eastern time the trade had came thru in a 3 team trade that sent Reggie Jackson to the Detroit Pistons and Perkins to Utah. The Thunder received Enes Kanter, DJ Augustin, Kyle Singler, and Steve Novak. Sam Presti talks about his new additions in a private press conference in front of the media and wanted everyone to know how he felt about the trade.

The Thunder still handled business against the Mavs as the Thunder came out with some fight and were playing like the Thunder team that everyone knows they can be.  Russell Westbrook has been the healthy leader and has taken this Thunder team on his back as KD is still lingering with his Bones Fracture. KD talked to the media about his injury and also talked about the trading deadline below.

Russell Westbrook has taken the reigns as the leader in my opinion right now and he has been on a tear since before the ASW in NYC. Westbrook has been playing aggressive and has been showing his leadership in the locker room and on the court. Kobe Bryant said “Russ is next to me when it comes to aggressiveness and killer instinct” and Penny Hardaway said ” Russ is the one player that reminds him of Michael Jordans mindset coming into any game” so with that being said he has all the tools to be special so its in his hands. Russ talked about the trading deadline and also the teams success as of late.

The Thunder got a huge boost from Serge Ibaka with the first 20/20 game in Thunder history. The thunder beat the Mavs 104-89 and they were clicking on all cylinders all night from the jump. The Thunder play on the road and are trying to keep up the winning and they will have to check the status of KD to make those proper moves to step forward. Sam Presti said that the new players need to get physicals done and will see if they are ready for Charlotte.
