The Thunder came into the game with some very impressive outings but haven’t been able to make it count for the win. Sebastian Telfair played like he was back in Coney Island as he was very aggressive and was clicking on all cylinders with his teammates. When the team needed some structure and a true point guard Bassy came in and made things happen the way he was running the floor. The Thunder had 5 players in double figures and just showed the never say die attitude on the court. The one thing that the Thunder did well tonight was play tough defense it seems like every time they went to the zone defense the Kings couldn’t buy a bucket. Rudy Gay and Demarcus Cousins had some big moments in the game and ended with 39 points.

The Thunder need to be able to find a balance on the offense as it seems like they aren’t playing on the same page and they are looking for someone to make a play instead of playing team ball. The thing that is special about their team is the fact they have individual players that they can lean on like Serge Ibaka and Reggie Jackson that have been in the moments and know the offense.  The Thunder were in the passing lanes tonight and ended with 11 steals it seemed like every time they needed a stop down the stretch the Kings turned into their old selves.

Nick Collison and Ish Smith came in late in the game but made a huge impact on the fact break transition baskets and also on the 3 pointers that Nick has improved on. Reggie Jackson finished with 22 points and hit some crucial free throws down the stretch to get the win for the Thunder under 2:00 minutes left in the game.

The Thunder improve to 2-5 on the season and they play the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday and hope to get Perry Jones back in the lineup to help improve their chances at making it to .500 in the season. The Thunder are banged up on paper and on the court and will have to tread water until they get KD and the gang back in the next couple of weeks.
