The Boston Celtics came into this game knowing that they were going to have a tough game on their hands against Toronto. The Raptors proved to be that playoff team that everyone envisioned as they played tough all 48 minutes.  The Celtics used this game as a playoff game as the crowd in the TD Garden was cheering louder than usual. Rajon Rondo was in the zone tonight for the Celtics as  he finished the game with 9 points and 14 assists. Rondo had to go to the back during the game after he got elbowed in the face and returned to the game with 9 stitches. The emergence of Terrence Ross was on display in this game as he was willing to go to any spot on the court that he wanted. Ross finished the game with 24 points and was hitting jumper after jumper on any Celtic guard that defended him. The Raptors had the pace of the game to their liking and didn’t let up even when the Celtics were within 3 points under 2:00 minutes in the 4th quarter.

The Celtics still have some work to be done but, seeing Rondo dishing more than 10 assists since the All Star break is exciting for any Celtics fan to look forward to next year. Celtics lost the game and will be looking to bounce back against the Raptors on friday.
