Bama QB at the bottom of the list
NORTH CAROLINA-(BASN)-Unfortunately for Alabama’s A.J.McCarron, whose non-flashy approach of playing the game of football, finds himself throwing footballs in the shadows of the legendary Johnny”Football’s” brightness, especially after losing to the Texas A&M gunslinger in 2012 , in which he accounted for 345 of A&M’s 418 yards of offense, including two passing touchdowns in Tuscaloosa on national television.
Matter of fact, McCarron’s ex-girlfriend Kathrine Webb, the former Miss Alabama, has gotten more attention than the multiple national championship winning quarterback, thanks to Brent Musberger) who has been projected to be a 2nd round or 3rd round draft pick surprisingly behind UCF’s Blake Bortles, Louisville’s Teddy Bridgewater, and even Fresno State’s Derek Carr.
With so many team’s seemingly overlooking the 6’3, 220 pound signal caller, who has been compared to the Kansas City Chief’s Alex Smith, Alabama’s head coach Nick Saban defended the former Alabama quarterback by saying that many NFL Teams are making a huge mistake if they don’t add the Bama QB to their roster.
“Guys who make quick decisions, process the information and throw the ball accurately are the guys that usually end up being pretty good NFL Quarterbacks.” Saban said in McCaron’s defense.
With Saban’s blessing, the football world waits patiently to see where the former Crimson Tide signal caller ends up on draft day and whether he will become a starting quarterback after two-years or simply another career back-up, holding a clipboard on the sidelines.
