HARBAUGH LET KAEPERNICK DOWN…AGAIN!

OAKLAND, CA (BASN) STOP IT – JUST STOP IT. The San Francisco 49ers have gone home after another great 12-4 season. They are home after being in their third straight championship game. They are going home because of some questionable play calling by the San Francisco coaching staff.
Losing to the Seattle Seahawks 23 – 17 and losing the National Football Conference title. This same event happened on a similar play a year ago in the Super Bowl. Now America conveniently blames Number Seven for the Cherry and Gold miscues. STOP IT, JUST STOP IT.
Did Colin Kaepernick make mistakes in the 4th quarter? Yes, but the coaching staff put him in that position. The coaching staff should provide the opportunity for each player to improve his playing skills on the field. The San Francisco coaching staff must look in the mirror and ask questions.
There are too many things in common with the last two season ending games for San Francisco and these issues must be addressed. Questions need to be asked about head Coach Jim Harbaugh and offensive coordinator Greg Roman. Should they or should they not be relieved of their duties? Read the rest of the article and then decide…
1) With a first down on the Seahawk 18 yard-line with 30 seconds left in the game the questions are why are you letting the clock run?
2) Why did the coaching staff not use their two remaining time outs? To calm the players on the field and plan at the best possible play that could be run.
3) Why did The Niners coaching staff panic and consequently transferring these feelings to the players? Negative emotions transfer in a time of panic. This has happened twice and the ownership should take a careful look at the current coaching staff.
Former head Coach Michael Singletary gave current head coach Jim Harbaugh the defense needed to get to the Super Bowl but who is talking about that?
4) Why did the Niners fail to use one of the best running backs on the field Frank Gore? This should have been a no – brainer; it should have been a slam dunk, and a San Francisco 49er victory.
Last year the ‘Niners were driving down the field for the Super Bowl Championship with the ball on the Baltimore Ravens five yard line with two minutes to go. Number 7 went back to throw a fade to the right side to WR Michael Crabtree in the end-zone for the victory. Instead the ball went flying over Crabtree’s head.
Many football experts stated that Crabtree was jostled by Raven cornerback Jimmy Smith and should have been called for interference.
The question remains why the ‘Niners did not at least try a running play with Frank Gore. The ‘Niners threw four straight passing plays and failed.
Fast forward to January 19, 2014, The Niners once again had the ball on the 30 yard line with time running down. Colin Kaeperkick went back to pass to Crabtree in the right corner of the end zone and Seattle cornerback, number 25, Richard Sherman tipped the ball away for a Seahawk interception.
The San Francisco play was exactly the same; the results were the same as the 49ers lost both games.
Not only that, early this year this same play was used to beat the Seattle Seahawks so why would the San Francisco 49ers run this play AGAIN. Every team watches film and studies team tendencies – and the Seahawks did their homework.
Art Shell(Oakland), Ray Rhodes(Philadelphia, Green Bay),Bill Walsh(SF), Vince Lombardi(Green Bay), Tom Landry(Dallas), Tony Dungy (Tampa Bay, Indianapolis), Smith(Chicago), and Chuck Noll(Pittsburgh) – cool, calm, coaches would have won both games.
The American Sports media, THE MOUSE-ESPN, and local beat writers should be asking these questions. Their silence speaks volumes about sports journalism today.
