The Boston Celtics came into this game on a loss to the Bucks on Saturday and wanted to get revenge on Tuesday in the TD Garden. The Celtics hit every big shot when it was needed and Jordan Crawford had another big game adding in 23 point effort with his 5 assists. The Bucks came out flat and they didn’t execute when they started out but made the game very interesting.  The Celtics came out on a mission to show that the Bucks don’t have their number and they did just that. Jeff Green added 16 points but it was his defense on Mayo that had kept the Celtics in the game. The Celtics out rebounded the Bucks 37 to 33 it’s crazy because, when the Celtics out rebound teams they have been winning. Last year the Celtics weren’t able to do that and we can see the growth in the rotation now that Stevens is showing belief in Sullinger and Green as leaders. Sullinger hit a big shot with less than a minute to go in the game with the time running out to give the Celtics a 101-96 lead in the 4th.

The Celtics hit clutch free throws down the stretch to win the game (108-100) the Celtics have a record of 8-12 for the season and are 0.5 games back from 1st place in the Atlantic Division.  The Celtics aren’t trying to tank this season and Jared Sullinger said “We are going to compete every night no matter what because, this our job and what we work hard for”. People want the Celtics to tank to get Parker or Wiggins but at the end of the day we can be the worst team in the league that still doesn’t give us the number 1 pick overall.

The Celtics play the 10-6 Denver Nuggets as Ty Lawson and company are coming to Boston. The Celtics need to make sure they can slow down the tempo of Brian Shaws Denver Nuggets. The Celtics need to make sure they play together as a team and they need to be consistent which means Crawford and Sullinger need to bring a double double if need be. The Celtics have been up and down and we are growing through the season but we still need Rajon Rondo who should be back in late December.
