It is pre-season in the National Basketball Association and the defending champion Miami Heat will be going for a three-peat. That’s three in a row for those that don’t know what a three peat means. LeBron James, Chris Bosh, and Dwayne Wade have back to back championships and it seems that it’s still not enough. There are only three teams that have accomplish this fete The Miami Heat could join this list at the end of this season.
Three years ago Lebron James made a business decision to leave his home state of Ohio and his beloved Cleveland Cavaliers. The Citizens of Cleveland lost their collective minds including Cavalier owner Dan Gilbert.
Cavalier fans burned number 23 jerseys’, wall posters of James were ripped up and thrown in the trash. Cleveland bill boards of James were painted over in 24 hours.
Then the owner of The Cleveland Cavaliers thought it was his duty to tear down and defame the player who made the city of Cleveland famous again.
Mr. Dan Gilbert did this without looking in the mirror and understanding his own decision not to sign LeBron James at the beginning of the season of 2010.
Gilbert tried to win a NBA championship on the cheap, and on the shoulders of LeBron James. It did not work and he then vented at the very object that could have saved the team number 23.
The Question should be asked why did the News Herald post this letter again on Tuesday October 8, 2013 Was this another attempt to undermine LeBron James chase in basketball history?
The next question is, has Dan Gilbert learned anything from the experience?
