Once again the America Sports Media conveniently ignores Black Sports History.
Like Professor Fred Whitted from Winston Salem State University states many times “We have to tell our own story.”
6-2 Colin Kaepernick-San Francisco 49ers- Has a great game in London, England. Kaepernick runs for 2 touchdown and throws for another touchdown. He was 10 for 16 passing as the 49ers get big lead in 1st half to coast to 42-10 victory over winless Jacksonville Jaguars.
4-4 Geno Smith- New York Jets- Rookie- The roller coaster ride continues in New York. This was not the best game for Smith with zero touchdowns and only 150 years passing. So next week Smith will win.
4-3 Cam Newton- Carolina Panthers- Cam Newton waited until the second half to explode in 31-13 victory over Tampa Bay. Throwing for two touchdowns and running for one. WHERE IS NOLAN NAWROCKI?
2-3 E.J. Manuel-Buffalo Bills- Rookie- Did Not Play
1-2 Thad Lewis – Buffalo Bills- had a great first half but not enough to beat New Orleans Saints. Lewis went 22 for 39 with 234 yards and one touchdown in 35-17 lose in the Crescent City.
2-4 Michael Vick- Philadelphia Eagles- Vick started game but hamstring put him on the bench again late in the second period. Green Birds lose to Geemen 15-7.
3-4 Terrell Pryor-Oakland Raiders – Terrell had a great first half giving Raiders 21-3 half time lead. The Black and Silver hold on for 21-18 victory. Pryor went 10 for 19 with 88 yards and carried the ball for 106 yards and one touchdown beating their longtime playoff nemesis the Pittsburgh Steelers. Number two had the longest touchdown run by any NFL quarterback of 92 yards.
2-5 Robert Griffin III-The Washington Football Club- Both team defenses stink giving up over 300 yards as the Denver Broncos come from behind with 28 unanswered points to beat Washington 45-21 Griffin did not play 4th quarter with minor knee injury.
0-3 Josh Freeman-Tampa Bay Bucs- Waived week 4
0-1 Josh Freeman- Minnesota Vikings- Did Not Play
0-1 Jason Campbell- Cleveland Browns- Threw for over two hundred yards and two touchdowns in 23-17 lost to the Kansas City Chiefs. Jason looked good for not playing the position for over a year moving the Browns down the field the first half. Chiefs just have too many weapons for Browns.
Marvin Lewis – Cincinnati Bengals 6-2
Ron Rivera- Carolina Panthers-Latin Head Coach 4-3
Leslie Frazier- Minnesota Vikings 1-6
Mike Tomlin- Pittsburgh Steelers 2-5
Black General Managers- 4
5-3 Detroit Lion Martin Mayhew- Lions beat Dallas Cowboys in very exciting game 31-30 on last second catch in end zone
3-4 Baltimore Raven Ozzie Newsome- BYE WEEK
3-4 Oakland Raider Reggie McKenzie- Beat their arch rival 21-18 the first victory after bye in 12 years
2-6 The New York Football Giant Jerry Reese- Giants win two games in a row as they defeat Philadelphia Eagles 15-7. The New York Giants are only two games out of first place in NFC (LEAST) East Division.
