The Los Angeles Lakers head coach Mike D’Antoni is at it again. My heart goes out to the fans of the Purple and Gold.

The New York Knicks fans had to endure three years of confusing play on the floor of Madison Square Garden. D’Antoni does not know how to respect his players and it will cost him another head coaching job in Los Angeles.

His latest target is five time World Champion, all-star, and all pro point guard, Kobe Bean Bryant. Yes, that’s right, the Black Mamba who twitted what was needed on the floor during game one. HELLO!!!!

After the game at the press conference Mr. D’Antoni responded, ” That Kobe is just a fan now”. REALLY, after you played Kobe into the ground for over 40 minutes per game the past two weeks after you did not give him the rest needed for the future playoffs and after you contributed to his season ending injury. Now you’re truly saying that Kobe Bean Bryant is just a fan. Mr. D’Antoni Kobe Bean Bryant could be called Mr. Los Angeles Laker. He has shown leadership abilities and knows what this team needs to do on the floor.

Trust me you don’t want to feel the wrath of the Black Mamba because his bite is very deadly. Just ask ex-Laker players.

When D’Antoni was hired, he immediately disrespected center/forward Pau Gasol by sitting him on the bench three days after arriving at Staples Center.

It is plausible to evaluate a player in three days? It did not make sense.

Then Laker genius proceeded to dog center Dwight Howard the rest of the year. At the end of the season, Mr. Etiquette going after Mr. Laker, Kobe Bean Bryant, after the Black Mamba carried the team to the playoffs. As John McEnroe stated many times, “YOU CAN NOT BE SERIOUS”

Mike D’Antoni is a very good offensive coach. He has won an average of 56 games a year, but alienates his players and it gets him in BIG trouble. He is just repeating his coaching antics of two years ago in Madison Square Garden. He did not like Carmelo Anthony and voiced his opinion to the New York Sports Media, before Melo even put on a blue and orange uniform.

This created unwanted and un-needed tension in the Knicks locker-room right. The chemistry never happened on the floor of the Garden.

Mr. D’Antoni could not play two big’s in the middle with Stoudimire and Carmelo in New York, just as he refuses to play Gasol and Howard together in Los Angeles.

Oh, by the way, have you notice the New York Knicks won 54 games? They are the Number two seed in the Eastern Conference and they won the Atlantic Division. Carmelo Anthony won the scoring title this year, while J.R. Smith won the sixth man award and the New York Knicks are playing their best defense in years. That is something that Mr. D’Antoni knows little or nothing about.

Next question how many Championships has Mr. D’Antoni won? Answer- ZERO.

Mind you he did get the Suns into the playoffs four years in a row and into the finals. But that lack of defensive team skills cost him at least one championship.

The Phoenix Suns executive Steve Kerr tried to give him the best defensive coach in the league, Tom Thibodeau, now the head coach of the Chicago Bulls. D’Antoni refused to have him on his Suns coaching staff and the Suns promptly shipped him to The New York Knicks where star guard Jeremy Lin of Chinese decent saved his job for a few weeks.

What happened to Lin in New York? Lin got injured because he played too many minutes in 14 games. Something the star guard was not physically prepared to preform that long. D’Antoni went to Hollywood and Lin went to Houston.

It was the best thing that could have happen to Lin who received a starting position in Houston. The new look Knicks beat the elder Celtics in game one and two of their playoff series.

The same results can be expected in Staples Center with not understanding anything that happened in Phoenix or New York so he is doomed to repeat again

So, Mr. Mike D’Antoni better slow your roll, and start taking advice from others and listen or be out of a job, permanently.

Laker Nation, I feel your pain and hope you don’t have to go through another year of the inept and arrogant coaching of Mike D’Antoni
