DENVER, CO—Holding one’s tongue . . . , that’s something which Pittsburgh Steeler’s All Everything linebacker James Harrison is not very good at. While, on the other hand, it sure seems this nation’s current angry conservative population, the Republican Tea Party both card carriers n’ sympathisers had perfected the art of holding their tongues, not saying anything negative (despite any truthfulness) about a president intentionally destroying the the fabled “middle class.” while strategically plunging America into what very well appears to be an endless war . . . against half-the-world. Stop n’ ponder this; for the roller-coaster ride which was the “Bush Era,” where a rich frat-boy like George W. greased the way for aristocrats (who owned him) could bend-over an entire nation – and you didn’t hear a sound from these “Real Americans,” these “Patriots” were so-quiet you could hear a rat piss on cotton . . . and now, with a half-Black man in the Black House its a full-blown case of the “Chicken Little Syndrome” . . . “the sky is falling, the sky is falling . . . !” Go get your rain-coat . . . its raining hard-ass cold facts up in here. . . . From two wars, arguably, arguably started by the W. administration, on behalf of the military/industrial/pharmaceutical complex Eisenhower warned of . . . – to the real goal of any GOP administration; repealing FDR, MLK and LBJ’s work, i.e., transferring the hard earned pennies of the have-nots’ to the greedy little dirty hands of the Have-every-things. On to Katrina and its genocidal aftermath – not a peep out of “Mainstream USA.” Nevertheless . . . with a Afro-American man in the Oval Office these true-blue Americans are talking secession, armed revolt . . . the end of the American way Of Life . . . . Where-as, to compare n’ contrast, on the flip-side, the Black hand-side The 2008 AP NFL Defensive Gladiator of the Year , Mr Harrison hasn’t been too reluctant about tellin’ it the way it really is about his commander-in-chief, Rodger Goodell, the official mouthpiece for the NFL plantation cartel. You see, in the animated world between his ears , he was, apparently financially sodomized by Roger Goodell, who demanded $100,000 for illegal hits #92 leveled last season. In the August issue of Men’s Journal, Harrison offered this uncut, unfiltered chunk of his mind. “If that man was on fire (Goodell) and I had to piss to put him out . . . I wouldn’t do it,” Harrison told the magazine. “I hate him and will never respect him.” Damn, I must confess . . . that’s a good one. That’s a PG13 Fog-Horn Leg-Horn quote, get a visual of the big red Rooster agitated, aggravated, perhaps a shot or two of Jack Daniels and there you have it. Straight . . . no chaser. Mr Harrison had other pointed characterizations of the NFL Grand Pooh-Pah, which included an anti-gay slur, “stupid,” “puppet” and “dictator.” Harrison tagged Roger The Dodger with the “crook” label and took it to a biblical level with branding the NFL commissioner . . . a devil. Do you think he went too far on that one, crossed the burning sands? Harrison went on to verbally bitch-slap other NFL administrators, back-hand Patriots-turned-commentators Rodney Harrison and Tedy Bruschi – both are deemed “clowns,” while he had this observation about Houston’s Brian Cushing – “juiced out of his mind.” Now see, what Mr. Harrison is risking, and its honestly too late, but he’s risking being Black balled. Yes, I understand he looks like one already, but I’m talkin’ about being put on White Sport’s writers “Uppity Nigger” list – not that he ain’t already .You go after a Great White Hope like Cushing because he’s a dope, or rather on it – the Rednecks over at FOX Sports or The Bleacher Report will come after your black ass – keyboards blazin’. Harrison meanders on to the fork-in-the-road where he openly “questions whether a black player is punished more for a hard hit on a white player than the opposite.” I think that’s where he crossed the line . . . .he mentioned the obvious – every Black player is akin to Rodney King – a madman, an out-of-control barbarian who should be dealt with, made an example of . . . “broken.” There’s a posse, a lynch-mob, made-up vastly, mainly of angry White fans, coaches and sportswriters who’re now going to hunt this boy down . . . for speakin’ his mind, tellin’ the Burning Bush truth . . . A Black man’s truth, the truth as far as millions upon millions of Black people see the game. But now after all, we all understand these Mandingos are suppose to go out there and beat the hell out of each other for a fraction of the pot . . . and shut the hell up. Seen but not herd. Think Joe Louis, Floyd Patterson, George Foreman, Michael Jordan ,Tiger all those good House Negroes willing to play-along to ensure the paychecks, glitter, gleam, fame n’ fortune. So . . . at least we know where Mr Harrison both “sits and stands” . . . and we know it right here n’ now, unlike those on the “Right” in America’s political spectrum – who didn’t open their mouths while government was stealing from the poor to give to the rich, but are today overreacting to a Black president. Obama. He’s merely a man, not a tsunami. Its as if Obama has a puttin’ green laid-out in the back of his new crib . . . Friday-nite catfish frys, Leopard-skin curtains, a 64 Impala, SS in the driveway, James Brown blaring on the stereo . . . .Oh my lord, the sky is fallin’, the sky is fallin’.”
