BasketBall star, Rajon Rondo congratulates Izeah "Clutch" Bowman on his historic win 2010 "King of the Rock".

INGLEWOOD, CA—This Saturday, June 18th, the Red Bull “King of the Rock” Qualifier will be held at Venice Beach, CA.

Last year’s winner, Izeah “Clutch” Bowman, an Inglewood, CA native, will be on hand to sign autographs and watch potential challengers’ vie for a spot to take his crown.

When it comes to basketball, Izeah Bowman is a natural on the court. Izeah started playing basketball at the tender age of 5. He is the middle child in his family and is the only child of four that to fall in love with basketball. Izeah was a small kid with big talent on the court and even bigger dreams off the court. Izeah grew up in of Inglewood, CA where he honed his skills in basketball.

It was his natural talent on the court, his ability to save the game during the fourth quarter, his agility of running up and down the court never ceasing and his confidence that made Izeah a stand-out on the courts. Izeah is commonly referred to as “Clutch” on the courts for his game saving ways, always “clutching” the last moments of the 4th quarter.

Izeah has been featured in Nike shoe commercials alongside basketball stars, Vince Carter and Los Angeles Laker, Kobe Bryant. He has a long list of awards dating back to high school when he won the “Nike Jams Slam Dunk” contest in 2003.

Izeah is a member of the American Ball Association (ABA) and has played semi professional basketball for the last 7 years. During college he ran track and was mentored by track legend, Olympian, Tommy Smith. Clutch has had the privilege of first-rate coaching and guidance from the best. Basketball has grounded Clutch and helped him achieve more than others expected.

He has been a staple in the highly regarded, Venice Basketball League. He is also a member of the Drew League’s team Ap1.

Clutch was destined to obtain national recognition. He would find that recognition and change history by becoming the Red Bull’s King of the Rock basketball tournament held on Alcatraz Island in 2010. This September, Clutch will once again take on 63 challengers at the 2011 Red Bull King of the Rock championship.

Playing basketball has opened many doors for new opportunities. Not only is Clutch an exceptional athlete, he is a humanitarian at heart. At the tender age of 26, Clutch is accomplished. He sets goals high and strives to achieve each and every one.

Spreading good vibrations is an Izeah Bowman trait. He was the host of Inside Stuff. He currently co-hosts a successful radio program WUN Love Radio, that features music, fashion and sports news.

This has lead him endless opportunities to interview sport & music celebrities from all over the globe.

Izeah loves kids, and is constantly trying to give back to the community as much as he can. He majored in Child Development and is a school teacher in Los Angeles Unified School District.

He constantly reminds his youths that, “Although sports are fun, without an education you won’t be successful.”

He is currently working with an organization, the ShoeKid District, which helps raise money and provide shoes to kids in Africa. He is the founder of “Heart of a Champion”, a non-profit basketball sports program located in Inglewood, CA.

Heart of a Champion’s mission is to provide a balance between health, education and recreation for inner city kids. Izeah has partnered with other community based youth programs, Venice Basketball League (VBL), the KVBL (the VBL’s youth program), Inkwell Surf & Sk8 Club and other Los Angeles youth organizations.
