Toronto, CAThe Toronto Raptors are looking for payback against the New Jersey Nets tonight.

The last time these two teams faced off they were playing in London, England. Unfortunately the Raptors lost both games 116-103 on March 4 and the following night in triple over-time, 137-136.

Tonight, the Raptors look to even the season series with the Nets with a win on home court.

Let’s break this game down for Raptors fans.

Who’s Hot:

Jerryd Bayless- This hot point guard stepped up as of late when he replaced the injured Jose Calderon in the starting line-up. Bayless, averaging 24 points and 6.4 assists within the last five games, knows how to turn it on when his teammates need him to score. Look for his game to be there tonight and for the remaining games of the season if Calderon is not healthy to come back.

Reggie Evans- The Raptors big, mean, rebounding machine is on the prowl so beware. Last night Evans grabbed 15 boards and on Wednesday night he finished with 15points against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Demar DeRzoan: The Bosh era has ended but a new one may be on the rise as a young super-star is starting to impress everyone around him. DeRozan is finally making his name be known around he league thanks to his performance this season. Averaging 17.2 points a game, DeRozan is now getting more minutes and more room to operate his offense. Look for Derozan to yet again be a determining factor in this game.

Who’s not:

Sonny Weems- Since coming back from injury, Weems has been struggling to find his rhythm. With less minutes for Weems to make any significant contribution, Weems has to come out the gate aggressive. He also needs to attack the hoop more and take shots within his range. I would like to see Weems get more touches to finish the season.

Who’s out due to injury: Jose Calderon, Andrea Bargnani, Amir Johnson, Leandro Barbosa

Conclusion: The Raptors will have their work cut out for them if they are still down four men on their roster, however, if DeRozan, and Bayless can get their offense going along with the bench The Toronto Raptors will have a better chance in getting a win over the New Jersey Nets.
