Embrace the dark side, LeBron
NORTH CAROLINA (BASN) — After only 10 games, LeBron James’ decision “to take his talents to South Beach” has not paid off on the basketball court yet. But it has paid off financially for the city of Miami.
This whole LeBron situation, however, should be a teachable moment for all Black athletes in the NBA, NFL, and MLB, regardless if they are young or old, especially Auburn’s Cam Newton.
Remember this, and never forget it. “They will praise us; but they will crucify us.” It’s an ugly reality that all Black athletes, politicians, and entertainers most come to grip with.
As rapper and movie director Ice Cube brilliantly once said, “MTV will find a new (n**** next year). This statement probably will be deemed offensive in this new overly sensitive and political correct new media.But look how quickly the media has turned their backs on LeBron and fallen in love with Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma Thunders by placing him on the cover of Sports Illustrated to preview the 2010 NBA season, while labeling him the Anti-LeBron.
But despite all the posters, interviews, magazine covers, newspaper articles, and applauds coming from these so-called fans and sports writers, they do not love (us).
Because as one of the greatest rap group assembled in the history of Hip-Hop music, the Wu-Tang Clan song in the chorus of their hit song, “Cash, Rules, Everything, Around, Me!! C.R.E.A.M.Get the money !!Dollar, dollar bill y’all!!”
In other words, these people don’t love (us). They only love (us) because of the money (we) can evidently make for them.
That’s one of the rules of a shrewd capitalists. Profit over the people. Let’s face the facts. The bottom-line is always about the money. Therefore, LeBron, don’t be offended.This is business, so don’t take it personal.

Yeah, the successful entrepreneur and marketing genius Sean “Puffy” Combs was correct. “It’s all about the Benjamin’s, Baby.”
Even Boston Globe sports reporter Jackie Macmillan, used the Hip-Hop catchphrase, during her emotional diatribe about James on ESPN’s Outside the Lines.
“I don’t know, who is advising LeBron James about this one-hour special.”
she said. “I understand, it’s all about the Benjamin’s and his brand…
but he has hurt his image throughout the NBA and America.”
I guess America doesn’t like the fact that LeBron is being advised by his friends from high school instead of some strangers, who may have a little “Bernie Madoff” in them.LeBron addressed this issue in his latest Nike commercial in which he says, “You don’t want me to listen to my friends but they are my friends.”
Dave Zirin, author and sports editor at the Nation even hilariously implied that “(We) they want LeBron to be like the Fonz..You want him to be cool…”
Honestly, Dave, Black people, don’t want LeBron to be or act like Arthur Fonzarelli, some short, fictional character with a black leather jacket, snapping his fingers from the 1970s sitcom Happy Days.
Besides, there were no Black people on that show anyway. Sorry Dave, I hate that LeBron destroyed your little sports fantasy!! So get over it!!
While Zirin has dreams of LeBron being in a black leather jacket with a white tee shirt and some tight blue jeans on, Kevin Blackistone, National Columnist for AOL fanhouse felt Lebron diminished his brand by turning into “the typical, egotistical, narcissistic professional that turns so many of us off.”
In defense of LeBron, his brand does not depend on a few grumpy old men.
In other words, the youth of the world, don’t like those self-righteous hypocrites the run corporate America. Furthermore, they embrace the rebel mentality displayed by LeBron.
They praise those who have the courage to step out the box, and remove themselves from the Matrix of America’s cookie cutter society that tries to control and dictate their lives.
Besides, you can’t please everybody.
And if he tries to do so, he’ll probably have a nervous breakdown, in up in mental institution, or slung out on drugs like Lindsay Lohan. With that said, I think LeBron should accept his new role as the villain of the league.
Don’t run from it, accept it. Become the bad guy, they want you to be. And since you are in Miami, go home, and rent the movie “Scarface” starring Al Pacino. And channel your inner Tony Montana. Then while standing in front of a mirror, repeat these famous lines.

With these thoughts running through your mind, start repeating the famous lines from Tony Montana about being the bad guy over and over, and slowly start embracing the dark side. Then tell your self that they’ll be “No more Mister Nice guy”.
Become “Public Enemy Number One.” Embrace your inner Darth Vader. It’s the perfect moment. The Miami Heat are 6-4. There is nothing to lose. You already have the money.
Therefore, no more smiling. Look more menacing. Give them the evil eye. Grow the Beard a little thicker.Pound the chest and little harder. Hang on the rim little longer. Find an antagonist like you did when you crushed Washington’s DeShawn Stephenson.
And literally destroy them all one by one. And remember, this is not a game.
