The Longhorns are long gone. Boise State buckled down.Denard “Shoelace” Robinson got tripped up. Steven Garcia got benched. Arkansas threw away a win. And the Wolfpack howled even louder.

This week the Badgers take on the “Mean Green Machine” of Michigan St. The Badgers have won 9 of the last 13 meetings with the Spartans.

Denard “Shoelace” Robinson twisted his knee in a 65-21 blow-out against Bowling Green last week. But this Heisman hopeful should be back in his unlaced cleats this week against the Indiana Hoosiers.

The magic Blue Carpet is still magical. The Broncos are 72-2 on the Smurf turf. Their 37-24 win against Oregon St. last Saturday have them in the BCS conversation once again.

Everybody thought I was crazy last week when I placed the Wolfpack in my Top 20, but after whipping the Georgia Tech Yelllow Jackets 45-28. People are wearing red again in North Carolina instead of “baby blue.” Sorry Tar Heel fans. Handle your scandal. This week the wolves take on the Hokies of Virginia Tech.

Stanford is unbeaten for the first time since 1986. This week they go duck hunting against Oregon.
