I Hate to Burst your Bubble — But!!!
Now, I could be over reacting or simply being hyper-sensitive to the image which was captured my eagle eyes.
But why did the photographer psychologically take a picture of Price blowing a large pink bubble in the shape of a breast with his eyes engorged along with a devilish grin on his face with the byline reading “David Price ready for some fun”?
I guess it was the photographers attempt to pay homage to Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the up-coming MLB Playoff at the same time because the Sports Illustrated lettering in the background, where in all pink.
Honestly, I think Sports Illustrated could have honored or highlighted Breast Cancer Awareness Month without trying to sexualize this serious health issue.
This big, pink, bubble-gum breast shot, in fact, should have been on the cover of Playboy or Hustler but not Sports Illustrated.
In my opinion, the Sports Illustrated cover was classless and tasteless.
And the women who suffer and survived this life-threatening disease deserve much better.
