A Very American Coup By Michael – Louis Ingram, Editor-in-Chief...
Read all about it!!!
But shockingly, even during the Dogs Days of summer and the release of Madden 11, we are still discussing the up-and-coming NBA season, thanks to Isiah Thomas and the New York Knicks.
I am just kidding.
But honestly, we are still bouncing basketballs in the backyard instead of preparing for Bar-B-Q’s, Homecomings, and tailgating parties, due to legendary King James’ controversial Decision “to take his talents to South Beach.”The Miami Heat and the Disco Three of Wade, James, and Bosh are, in fact, overshadowing the Dynamic Duo of Chad Ocho Cinco and T.O in Cincinnati, Donovan McNabb in Washington, Tim Tebow in Denver, Michael Vick’s birthday shooting, Big Ben’s sexual misconduct and Super Bowl XLV being in Dallas.
Even in the football city of Miami, where the Dolphins recently signed WR Brandon Marshall, sports fans are still fixated on the Miami Thrice or the Miami Heat.
The NBA, without question, will capitalize on this new found interest in basketball by scheduling the Miami Heat against the Boston Celtics for the opening night tip-off on October 26th to start the 2010-11 season live on TNT.
And I must confess, I love me some football.
But I can’t wait for the NBA season to begin.
