BURBANK, Ca. — FANZ-TV Network, a 24-7 Sports Television Network focusing on professional minor league sports, announced that it has signed the American Basketball Association to a one-year broadcast deal that includes a future two-year option.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The announcement was made at a press conference in Burbank, CA by Rod Myers, President of FANZ-TV.

President/CEO Myers stated, “We are pleased to have the ABA signed to the network. This is our first basketball league for the network and it represents a strong showing across the United States.”

“The ABA has been around quite a long time and is rich in history for basketball. This is a good fit for the network and it is the type of quality programming we intend to provide to sports fans all over.”

FANZ-TV and the ABA also agreed to broadcast live the entire post-season playoff games including both the 2009 All-Star Game and the 2009 ABA Championship.

“We are very pleased to be working with FANZ-TV,” stated Joe Newman, ABA CEO. “One of the key elements of this agreement is the production; FANZ-TV will be sending in a full production truck, cameras and crew to make these games very special with a high-quality look.”

“While FANZ-TV does not have huge national distribution (yet), the network reaches millions of homes nationwide and it will give fans everywhere an opportunity to see the outstanding quality and excitement of the ABA game.”

“FANZ-TV will air the Game of the Week live from the Southern California area for the season. The league will also have other teams that produce games that will then be sent to FANZ-TV for airing on a tape-delayed basis,” added Myers.

“This will be a first for both parties to air a live ABA event on over-the-air television stations, something we are extremely excited about and thrilled at the possibilities for the product and the sponsors.”

United Sports Media will handle the advertising and syndication for the Game of the Week and has currently put together a media kit for immediate consideration.

Multi-level sponsorships are now available and individual package plans can be made to fit the desired advertising effect. <
