DENNIS DIXON’S SATURDAY CAN A DUCK BECOME A BLACK SWAN

IS DENNIS DIXON A BLACK SWAN ( NOT ONLY AN OREGON DUCK )

The Spotlight shines

on those who wait and

when it does know

how to SHINE it on

themselves

Last week Black Quarterback Andre Woodson had his Opportunity to claim the Top Spot on the Heisman Watch List. His stellar performance against U Florida sadly lost some of its Luster as Kentucky lost and the team fell in the Polls while White Florida QB Tim Tebow saw his Heisman stock soar.

Still in the end Andre Woodson is right now # 2 in the USAToday Heisman List with Tebow right behind him #3. Ahead of both and looming strong is Boston College QB Matt Ryan #1 even before Thursday night’s come from behind victory over Vanderbilt, and BU remaining UNDefeated

But not far behind these Three

in the #5 Position is the

Object of our Black Box Affection

Oregon QB Dennis Dixon

( #4 is Michigan RB Hart )

The very very logical reason for our focus on Dixon is BECAUSE today Saturday if Dennis Dixon can have his Career Day and LEAD Oregon to a truly dramatic upset VICTORY over USC. YES we said UPSET even though Oregon is #5 in the Standings to USC’s #12 because you know how ALL the White Sports Jocks think. USC is also a “FAVORED” team especially against “lowly” Oregon.

You know these guys will be sitting in the Press Box (definitely not the Black Box) or watching on the monitors in their newsrooms SMUGLY expecting USC TROJANS ( great name ? do they have a sponsorship deal ?? ) to romp over BOTH QB Dennis Dixon and his Oregon Ducks.

And you know what here

in the ( unfair ) Real World

yes they might and …..

Dennis Dixon tumble off the List and any slim chance of the Heisman GONE and Oregon’s Ducks get kicked off the Top 10 “forever” with a second loss and NO chances of a National Championship. That is the way Life ends up working too often. But there is another Scenario. And to substantiate it we could use los of examples from Sports history or better the Theory of the Black Swan ….

The theory has most recently been publicized in a well selling book “The Black Swan – The Impact of the Highly Improbable” by Nassim Nicholas Taleb. At its core the theory which pre-dates the book and the book itself present the thesis hard to refute that the improbable is not only inevitable but a regular occurrence that has as much or in fact more impact on individuals and life itself than what seems to us like the 99% of Reality which is so predictable.

So Black Box Fans today

rather than bother you

with lots of team and player stats

which will impress you with

Dennis Dixon’s talent and
