REASONS TO SAY NO

HOW ABOUT BLACK ARM BANDS INSTEAD WITH THE NUMBER 42 BOLDLY ON THEM Ken Griffey ” OK SO I’M AN IDIOT BIG DEAL ”

This is really not

another Jackie Robinson Story

as much as it is about unintended

Consequences worse yet

misunderstood counter-productive

Consequences or to the Point

there is a Sucker reborn

more than once

every day

Ken Griffey Jr. must have thought he had a Great Idea a few weeks ago when he go a rare Brain Storm and decided to ask MLB Commish Bud Selig if he could wear Jackie Robinson’s #42 on April 15th on the 60th Anniversary of Robinson becoming the First African American MLB player.

Lights Fireworks went off in

Bud Selig’s polluted head

the moment Griffey spoke

YESYESYES KEN

and even better

Selig said to himself why NOT let one player on every team wear #42 on April 15th. What a marketing coup. What might have been shaping up as a Blinder by Selig to highlight Robinson’s Anniversary with the LACK of African Americans in Baseball with that one simple Stroke of Genius ……

………. gave Selig what the Simple Minded Media what they really Crave very very simple story ideas that have a visual element. Focusing on the hypocrisy of Selig honoring Robinson while he does nothing but Smoke & Mirrors about bringing African Americans back to Baseball was becoming unavoidable, “highlighted” by the Flop of Selig’s so called Civil Rights Game a few days ago.

Maybe maybe finally the Tide was turning

against Selig’s Snake Oil Show of “support”

for African Americans that is until

Brain Master Ken Griffey Jr.

came into the Picture

Now we are going to be subject to story after story until and beyond April 15th how wonderful it is very special players on each MLB team will wear #42. It will get to the Point that it will appear most of the players in the Majors are African American there are going to be so many stories about ONE African American on each team wearing #42 on Sunday April 15th. Yes indeed.

Mets Manager Willie Randolph

got so excited he practically

came out of his pants and

bumped his players so

he could WEAR #42

on April 15th

But that is NOTHING the LA Dodgers got so excited every single player and coach and even the bats boys EVERYONE associated with the Dodgers will wear #42 on Sunday April 15th. OF COURSE Barry Bonds will wear #42 ( and God help anyone on the Giants who thinks they should instead ). The Houston Astros Carlos Lee will wear #42. Red Sox center fielder Coco Crisp will wear #42. Gary Sheffield of the Detroit Tigers will wear #42.

The list goes on and on and on

the stories will be Endless

( they already are )

Bud Selig and the Old Boys of Summer (owners) must be drooling hard already over ALL those large photos of players wearing #42 that will appear everywhere you turn in the media beginning Sunday 4/15 and thru Monday and far beyond. Bud Selig has hit the Mother Load and as much as he has exploited Jackie Robinson’s image all these years for every penny it was worth ……

…… and with all the well paid Brain Surgeons he has thinking up ideas for him like the BS Civil Rights Game it was an African American player who gave him the best Scam of ALL and it cost Bud absolutely nothing.

And the best part of this Joke

on African Americans is that

African American players who

average all of TWO on

each MLB team will

think they are doing

Something WONDERFUL

wearing #42 on April 15th

when they are only really

digging their own Graves

making it appear Baseball

is still so Black when it is

anything but any more

and never will be again

Bud Selig will probably

give Rachel Robinson

an even Bigger Check

this April 15th after

this Greatest Scam

of them All so far
