YOU CAN DEBIT VINCE YOUNG IF YOU WISH BUT WILL YOUNG CASH IN SUNDAY WITH TEXANS

NEW VISA DEBIT CARD

The unveiling of

the new Vince Young

Debit Cards is

Scheduled to coincide with the Famous Houstonians game against the Oil Capital team the Houston Texans this Weekend. The same Texans who spurned his strong desire to play for them not his new team the Tennessee Titans.

If you remember Texas’ owner made the unbelievable decision to let Young’s immense popularity in the Houston area as a native son and after taking Texas to #1 go to waste when Texas did not use its #1 2006 Draft pick to pick Young.

The Debit Card issuers felt quite differently

as they explain ……

“This is the first product in a meaningful partnership based on a mutual commitment to make opportunities possible to others, and we look forward to working with Vince Young as he begins his professional career,” said Rick Savard, CEO of NetSpend. “The image on the card conveys hope, opportunity, power — qualities that Vince represents to his fans and that come with financial access, the end of no.”

Too bad CEO Rick Savard

doesn’t own the Texans

And this is how Young feels

about his Debit Card

“Growing up, we used cash, and I wish that my family had access to NetSpend’s financial services back then,” With NetSpend’s prepaid cards, I can access and save money on my terms — no debt, no strings attached and without the worry of carrying cash around. My partnership with NetSpend gives me the opportunity to convey the message of financial empowerment to a broad audience.”

Not that Vince Young needs a Debit Card

he’s got PLENTY of Credit

as an NFL player with

a BIG salary

Back to Sunday’s game the Houston Texans vs. the Tennessee Titans in Tennessee. Young gets to face off against the favored Draft pick who kept him from going to Houston, Defensive End Mario Williams. Nothing could make Young happier than to prove Houston brass wrong. The only way for him to do that is by beating the Texans and beating them Bad.

On a different level this is a battle of two of the worst teams in the NFL if their records are the test. Tennessee is 1-5 mired in last place in the AFC Southern Division. Houston ahead of them by 1 game in the Division at 2-4.

Houston has not won a road game since December 2004 although they have won their last 2 games this season both at home. In fact in the view of the Texans they are surging. What is most telling about this game is Vince Young will be Starting and dueling with the Quarterback Houston chose to stay with David Carr. At the same time Tennessee enters the game on its own High having beaten the “mighty” Redskins with an upset victory. Their last game.

So while Sunday’s contest

may seem a minor element

in Sunday’s schedule

it may contain more

excitement than

Bigger Games

We’ll know

soon enough if

we’re wrong
