McNair’s New Gig As QB
MC NAIR’S NEW GIG AS QB QUOTE THE RAVENS “NEVERMORE”
QB STEVE MC NAIR WITH RAVENS GM OZZIE NEWSOME
Edgar Allen Poe
( 1845 )
But the raven, sitting lonely on that placid bust, spoke only That one word, as if his soul in that one word he did outpour.
Nothing further then he uttered; not a feather then he fluttered; Till I scarcely more than muttered, “Other friends have flown before; On the morrow he will leave me, as my hopes have flown before.”
Then the bird said, “Nevermore.”
Yes Mr. Poe
( from the other side of the Grave )
Steve McNair has arrived
in Baltimore to play
for the Ravens
” Nevermore ”
In fairness of course you could say McNair had to go with the Titan’s Smart Draft of The Quarterback of the Future Vince Young. At best McNair would have been the caretaker QB until Young went Starter. Indeed there were other issues to McNair’s “demise” with the Titans, but signing Young trumped them.
Including his health and injuries
but he passed his Physical
McNair the 10 year veteran all played in Tennessee at 33 is now a seasoned professional and should be the defining asset for the Ravens for the next 5 years the length of his new contract. The Quarterback Baltimore needs to return them to the SuperBowl Glory of 2001, and out of their 2005 season funk 6-10.
More than likely
for the Remainder
of his Career
The journey from Memphis to Baltimore has been somewhat Rocky as you should know. The Titans wanting but not wanting to accept the fact McNair was gone and with those Questions of health delaying his departure until answered to everyone’s satisfaction. The Titans preventing this Worthy Quarterback from using their training facilities even as he remained one of Them.
Now all this will be settled
on the Playing Field
as it Should
most of All
when the Ravens
play the Titans
Sunday November 12th
will it Be
McNair vs. Young
Bringer of Life
every Fall !
